Back in high school, the day after a guy had a seizure in class, he said he caught a whiff of something just before it happened. It was likely a psychosomatic reaction, a very subtle shift in brain chemistry. He was off his anti-seize meds for just over a year.

I used to take a medication for seizures a couple years back, but went off them because we couldn't afford the refill at the time. Plus, I need to see a new doctor because the one I saw befre moved away.
Alrighty. I have a few in mind that I'll put up here.
Usually when doctors split (or die), they leave their case files with another local doctor. Did you feel okay while you were taking the medication? I used to hear strange things, but maybe they're making them better these days.
I felt fine while taking the meds, it was just that it made music sound somewhat lower-pitched(I wanna show you how it went, but I'm not entirely sure how).
Vicarious sent me over. Do you have the seizures the same time every month? As a girl, there are some women who have seizures any time their hormones shift, in relation to their cycles.
I used to have seizures all the time. I saw several neurologists. My EEGS were always perfect. They couldn't figure it out so they slapped a diagnosis on me of "general epilepsy" and went about even though my brain waves were completely normal. I took so many dangerous meds--for nothing.
I finally saw an endocrinologist because I no longer had cycles. He determined my adrenal glands --and a lot of my endocrine system-- was no longer functioning. My body had stopped making hormones, or steroids. He put me on a daily steroid and insulin (I'm not diabetic, it helps combat the extra hormones), and I've been seizure free --- knock on wood--- for years.
Anyway, sorry to write a novel, but I hope you get some answers and feel better soon!
I know of the hormone shift induced ones, as these are the most common influxes for me.
They usually occur at the end of every month, although they can actually be induced by a sugar-free ingredient we've learned to avoid(which is aspartame and acesulfame). And sleep deprivation is another cause, so we make sure that I get at least six hours of sleep, if not more.
Hmm... I might do a bit of research about this.
Fake sugar is practically everywhere these days, I used to be able to tell when I was a lot younger, but now... IDK :\ I used to get really bad tachycardia (heart racing) when I was around 7 or 8 years old, likely due to something nasty in our food (or air) at the time, almost killed me a few times. It took months of mental discipline just to get a (small) handle on it, then a few years later, I hardly had it at all. It's so frightening when your body goes batty :(
I know how that feels. My family(especially my brother Joe) freaks out whenever they see me have a seizure at all. Fortunately, I've been able to try and relax myself before the seizures actually occur and my family knows how I sound/react when I'm having one.
Some that I recommend avoiding is aspartame(it's in most sugar-free foods and this is the number one trigger of my seizures), high fructose corn syrup(it's a VERY common food ingredient and this in excessive amounts is another cause) and acesulfame(I only just now knew of this, but I'm told it's a derivative of aspartame).
Nowadays, I'm eating things that are free of these ingredients and/or organics.

I will eventually! As I've improved over the years, I won't be putting up the same art I used to draw.
Do they? I actually feel kind of dumb for not knowing that(since I have had to look up the possible causes for my seizures over the years).
